As President and CEO, Mike Glickenhaus brings 27 years' experience in radio and broadcast publishing.
Prior to joining VMIX, Mr. Glickenhaus founded Finest City Broadcasting to acquire three San Diego radio stations from Clear Channel Communications. As President and CEO he raised $110 million in equity and debt to close the transaction. He has also done extensive consulting work with broadcast companies, as well as research and analysis for both private equity companies and private investors in the media sector.
Before founding Finest City Broadcasting, Mr. Glickenhaus spent ten years as Vice President Market Manager for Clear Channel and Jacor Communications in San Diego. As sole General Manager in the market, he oversaw the daily running of twelve Clear Channel stations, generating over $110 million in annual revenues, with a market revenue share of sixty-five percent.
Mr. Glickenhaus began his broadcast career with Noble Broadcast Group, which operated twenty stations across the United States. He is a past President, Vice President and Treasurer of the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association. He has also been a member of the National Association of Broadcasters and worked on the NAB Show Steering Committee.
Mike is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany. He has served on the executive boards of the National MS Society, the San Diego International Sports Council and the San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies (SAFE).
As Founder and CTO of VMIX, Greg Kostello brings over 20 years' experience in technology development and management.
Previously Mr. Kostello was President of Vivendi-Universal Net Technologies, where he integrated advances made in technology at MP3.com into the music industry's commercial systems.
Prior to the sale of MP3.com to Vivendi-Universal in 2001, Mr. Kostello, as Executive Vice President of Technology, was instrumental in developing MP3.com into the top online music community with over 30 million registered visitors.
Mr. Kostello also co-founded DigitalStyle, an early developer of web tools sold to Netscape in 1997.
His expertise and experience in the industry includes past positions at companies like Apple Computer and Netscape, where he was a Technical Lead on the Gecko browser engine that became the foundation for Mozilla-based software. Mr. Kostello has also founded or participated in five other start-up ventures.
Greg Kostello graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Information and Computer Science. He served on the UCSD Connect Leadership Council from 1999-2001.
Terry Ash brings over 20 years' experience in sales, brand strategies and corporate relationships to his position as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at VMIX.
Previously Mr. Ash was Vice President of Sales for Universal Music Group's special markets division, home to such prominent labels as Interscope, MCA, Motown, Universal, Geffen and Island Def Jam.
Prior to this, Terry was Executive Vice President for the Vivendi-Universal Internet Group in North America, overseeing over $250 million in revenue from major brands, including MP3.com, Rollingstone.com and Emusic.
He was also Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales for MP3.com, focusing on developing corporate sponsorships and original programming for radio and TV syndication, eventually leading into the sale of MP3.com to Vivendi-Universal.
Mr. Ash graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and served for seven years on the Board of Directors for the UCSD Cancer Center.
In his dual positions as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at VMIX, Jeff (J.D.) Davids brings over 18 years' experience in finance, strategic development and operations.
Prior to joining VMIX, Mr. Davids held executive management positions at various online technology companies, including Organic Online, Accrue Software, Daycom Systems and DH Technology.
He has participated in over $1 billion in completed M&A and IPO transactions, and over $50 million in venture capital financing.
Mr. Davids was also the Founder and CEO of Deal Management Systems, an ASP software company that developed one of the first secure online dataroom products to streamline M&A, IPO and equity transactions.
JD started his career as a CPA at KPMG Peat Marwick and served four years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. He graduated Cum Laude with University Honors from Ohio State University.
Dan Charleston brings over 27 years' experience in sales and business management to his position as Senior Vice President of Business Development at VMIX.
Previously Mr. Charleston served as a Director of Sales at Clear Channel Radio, where he managed overall sales and revenue-development efforts for national and local opportunities, as well as online and experiential marketing.
Prior to this, Dan was VP of Sales at Finest City Broadcasting and held a variety of sales-management positions at Jacor Communications and Nationwide Communications.
Mr. Charleston graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BA in Journalism and English, and holds numerous sales, marketing and business-development certifications.
Jennifer Juckett brings 15 years' experience to her position as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at VMIX.
Prior to joining VMIX, Ms. Juckett served as Sr. Business Development Manager at The San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego's leader for news and information. At the Union-Tribune she was responsible for strategic partnerships and new product launches for the regional newspaper website SignOnSanDiego.com.
Jennifer has also held the positions of Marketing Director at Kintera, Inc. and Online Marketing Manager at Einstein Medical.
She is active in online marketing and social media organizations, and is currently responsible for directing Marketing and Sales strategy for the VMIX media and community software platform.
Ms. Juckett graduated with a BS in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing Management and Management Information Systems, from the University of Delaware.
As Senior Director of Engineering, Darren Craine brings over 13 years' experience in building scalable websites and software platforms.
He joined VMIX in 2005 as a founding member and was responsible for developing much of the original VMIX software infrastructure.
Before joining VMIX, Mr. Craine was at Nine Systems (Akamai), where he worked to build out their internal infrastructure as well as their user-facing products. Darren was also part of the original team that took MP3.com to success as the top online music community of its time.
Mr. Craine attended UCSD before leaving to join MP3.com.
As Vice President of Content and Brand Development, David Brown brings over fifteen years' experience in managing new media and building distinctive brands.
Prior to joining VMIX, David founded Holiday Matinee, a creative agency that offered consumer marketing and creative strategy for companies like MTV, Apple Computers, DreamWorks and Warner Bros. He has worked on ad campaigns for Jeep, Starbucks and Hummer; placed music on TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, CSI and Conan O'Brien; and developed marketing for well-known brands like Urban Outfitters, Microsoft Xbox and the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art.
David represents the creative vision of VMIX, driving the syndication of content, building media partnerships and shaping the company's visual presence in the market.
Mr. Brown graduated from Ithaca College with an Honors BA in Sociology. He owns the record company Better Looking Records and produces documentary films in his spare time.
